I managed to pick up some cheap CDs there on my last visit.
I bought the Aladdin soundtrack for my friend who is a Disney freak. It was only 200 yen and quite a lot of songs- 21 to be exact.
I got three metal CDs for myself:
Gamma Ray- Somewhere Out in Space (800 yen)

I'm not the biggest Gamma Ray fan but I've never given them much of a chance, which is odd considering I'm a fan of Helloween and they have a similar style because Kai Hansen used to be the singer for Helloween.
This album seems to be a concept album, and I always like those. I'll post my opinions on all of these after I give them a thorough listen. Artwork is super nice, remniscent of Iron Maiden album covers. It also came with Gamma Ray stickers :)
Sex Machineguns- Ignition (800 yen) My friend sugguested it,

I had listened to them a little before and liked what I heard.
Plus I am trying to make it a point to listen to more Japanese music, even if it is fast and hard to understand like metal vocals usually are. Their name is a tribute to
the Sex Pistols, but a machine gun is more powerful
than a pistol. I love the weird logic or bad "Engrish"
names for Japanese bands :)
Anthrax- Persistence of Time (200 yen)
Well who doesn't like thrash metal? Out of all those big thrash

metal bands- Metallica (if you can count them as thrash
anymore, they used to be), Testament, Megadeth, Slayer.... I've listened to all BUT Anthrax. So I figure they deserve a shot. And the second track is called BLOOD. I don't think you can get more metal than that unless you're the Judas Priest PAINKILLER album cover.... or Judas Priest in general, Rob Halford being gay detracting nothing from the metalness of course--(he SET heavy metal fashion after all but I digress)
When I go back there I might pick up a Vangelis CD I saw and some of the other metal CDs they had.
